Popup section

In this article, we will tell you what a popup is, and also show you how to add it to your landing page.

A popup is a window that appears over a webpage, typically triggered by a user's action on a landing page. It can contain a data collection form, a text block, a gallery, or any other section type available in the MaviBot builder.

The target action for popup in the MaviBot builder is to click on the button containing the section value.

Popup settings

To create a popup section, click on the "+" to open the menu with sections. Then find the Pop-up section in the menu that opens. And click on the popup to add the section to your site:

You can add any number of sections to the pop-up by making, for example, an information window on the landing page.

To add a pop-up section, click on the "Fill in popup" button. A modal window opens with sections that can be embedded inside the popup:

You can add multiple site sections inside a popup, effectively creating a secondary mini-landing page. The window supports an unlimited number of sections, allowing for flexible and comprehensive layouts.

The sections inside the popup are configured identically to those you use to design your main site.

Button settings

The popup will open on your website when a button is clicked. You can use either the "Menu" section or the "Buttons" section to create this trigger button.

How to add a popup to the "Menu" section

To add a pop-up to the Menu block, copy the value of the popup window section:

Then go to the settings of the "Menu" section:

Step 1. Add the menu section and add the button in the content settings of the Menu section:

Step 2. Select the action for the "In the current window" button:

Step 3. Add the popup ID value to the link field:

Step 4. Save the site settings.

Step 5. Testing

To see how the popup opens in the website menu, go to the site page and click on your created button in the menu.

As you can see, the popup opens only when you click on the button, and you can specify the target action for the client: for example, make an appointment, read more, etc.

How to add a popup to the Buttons section

To add a pop-up to the Menu block, copy the value of the popup window section:

Then go to the settings of the "Buttons" section:

Step 1. Add the "Buttons" block to the site:

Step 2. Add the button in the block content settings:

Step 3. Install the link button function:

Step 4. Enter the value from the popup section in the button link:

Step 5. Сlick on the save button to add the button with popup link

Save the site settings. To see how the popup opens in the website menu, go to the website page:

Next, click on your created button with the popup opening function:

A popup window will help to unload your site, make it more mobile and flexible, as well as add additional information without violating the basic logic and design of the site.
