# Course curators

Due to the high volume of students, the instructor (mentor) may physically be unable to process the large number of submitted homework assignments.

In such cases, MaviBot provides a feature that allows you to add course curators to check homework, communicate with clients, and quickly resolve issues related to the course and/or individual lessons.

## How to add a curator

To get started, you need to add an employee to the project in **the "Employees" section (found under the "Project settings" section on the left side of the screen)**.

You will be able to add an employee via email when a window opens.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/T4Zo3SvHj36zqEeTjaZ4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

A curator is added to the project as an operator.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/19Yg1TsevbMeN6hFwnJL" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You can add someone who is already registered on mavibot.ai or create a new account using the email entered in **the "Employee email" field** (a notification will be sent to that email with a link to access the project).

You also need to fill in the "Employee name" field (you won’t be able to add the employee without completing this field).

You can choose a default role ("Administrator" or "Operator") or create a custom role in advance with the necessary set of access permissions within the project.

{% hint style="success" %}
There are three main roles in MaviBot:&#x20;

1. Administrator (has full access to work in the project);
2. Editor;
3. Operator.

At your discretion, you can customize the roles and the degree of employee work ability (as shown in the screenshot below).
{% endhint %}

## Create a new role

{% hint style="warning" %}
Important!

To protect your settings, only allow employees to access the project in a limited version.

You can customize the required access rights and restrict editing and viewing for any new employees by creating an appropriate role for them.
{% endhint %}

The 'Roles' tab allows you to create a new role, such as one that is limited to working only with courses and other necessary sections, without giving access to the entire project.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/cwlh59FzQA9dxBWuJotg" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

To do this, go to the 'Roles' tab and click the 'Create role' button. The sections for configuring project access will open.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/ZfNceqUWwim4EsS0Yste" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Enter the role name, then specify the required access permissions for each section.

{% hint style="success" %}
Access types:

1. Unavailable — full restriction on viewing and editing the section. Tabs marked as "Unavailable" do not appear for the employee assigned the created role.

2. View only — the section tab is only visible in the left menu and cannot be edited.

<img src="/files/jghg5OgCx82VdiMAP03r" alt="" data-size="original">

3. View and edit — full access to configure, view, and edit the section.

<img src="/files/Yvzdpew6g6unTr3ToCtx" alt="" data-size="original">

{% endhint %}

Select the "Courses" tab and check the boxes next to the access rights you want to give to the employee being added to the project.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/Bad8mkySnZtIC7Ih5rmB" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Access rights for other tabs can be added as needed. For example, a curator may have access only to the "Courses" and "Webinars" tabs in the "Analytics" section.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/jL83POkidZeDeIzk4byp" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

After configuring the access rights, click "Save."

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/MS4RNbehkilewjzO0Hii" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The created role will appear in the "Employee roles" list when adding a user to the project.

## How to change an employee's role

Find the additional actions button (three dots) on the employee’s card and click it.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/KzkL5iSqsGsOX3FBURP7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The employee's role can be edited by opening a window with fields using the 'Edit' button.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/f9F4Fv86eWk45bmTl7wM" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

The employee's role, name, description, and other details can be modified here.

## How to remove an employee

Find the additional actions button (three dots) on the employee's card and click it.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/IfCB5xgdGbfqydL1IJHi" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

When you click **the 'Delete' button**, you'll be taken to a window where you need to type the word 'Delete' to confirm your action.

## Assign an employee as a curator in the course settings

After an employee is added to the project and assigned a role, it is necessary to add him as a curator to the course.

To do this, go to the course settings and open the "Curators" tab.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/G4z8KwSx11NKNIdcEdVb" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You should add the necessary employee as a course curator here.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/2Y5CcxTal7vDeixB89V4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

It is possible to add all the employees added to the project as curators.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/OtAnZSv9dOVZBi67FBNm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You can also remove all curators from the course <mark style="color:red;">**(employees are not removed from project).**</mark>
